Cards Or Poker originated in my mind when I was reading a post over at a great poker forum “Flop, Turn, River” I had been reading some of the best poker advice / information pertaining to No Limit Texas Hold’Em Multi-Table Tournaments (NLHE MTT) that I have ever read. Soupie was the pen name of the person spilling out gem after gem of solid, relevant, experienced insight into the “game behind the game”,  if you will. To this day, I am convinced since reading his 40 some posts my poker game improved no less than 30% and possibly more.

You see, I’ll never forget a post where he was explaining deep thought strategy. When he said something about when you are playing your opponents, playing their hand, playing their fears, playing their belief or disbelief that you are playing poker. If you aren’t, then you are just playing cards.

At that moment, cards or poker was birthed into the slow reality it is becoming today. A place to discuss all aspects of the game, all structures of the game, all pain of the game, everything relevant to the game. For the sake of the game. To become a golfer of poker. To master the game because we love it and all its intricacies, and not just to turn a quick dollar on a craze made popular by an evil broadcasting giant with pinhole camera technology.

So come, enjoy, vent, post, discuss, and play your style, whether it be cards or poker.
